Three legs, more shows and one important change: the replacement of Denny Freeman, after 441 concerts, by Charlie Sexton before the Fall tour. In August Sexton plays already part of one show in Round Rock, Texas. And, of course Sexton joined Dylan already from 1999 till 2001.
Dylan starts in Europe with a 33 shows Spring leg before the Summer and Fall tours in the USA. Same main set (11-15 songs) as the year before, plus 3 encores.
In April Together Through Life is released. It is good for number 1 in the US and UK charts. Dylan becomes the oldest artist with a number 1 album in the UK.
In oktober Dylan surprises with Christmas In The Heart, an album with Christmas songs. It is recorded in May. All of Dylan’s royalties are donated to charity feeding programs.
The final Theme Time Radio Hour, no 100: Goodbye, is aired in April.
