Bob Dylan 2006 Never Ending Tour

Touring Band
Bob Dylan:
vocal, electric keyboard (organ), harmonica
Stu Kimball: rhythm guitar
Denny Freeman: lead guitar
Donnie Herron: violin, mandolin, banjo, pedal steel guitar
Tony Garnier: bass
George Recile: drums & percussion

With the same band as the year before four legs (three in the US) contains a total of 98 shows, plus a short 8-song set at a private concert in San Francisco, CA. In the Europe summer leg Dylan plays a number of festivals. That tour starts in Kilkenny, Ireland with the Kilkenny Source Festival, followed by Roskilde Festival; Cap Roig Gardens Festival; Concierto Por La Paz (Peace Concert) in San Sebastian; Les Estivales de Perpignan and Pistoia Blues Festival.
Main set in the first legs 12-13 songs plus 2 encores. The US fall shows contains 16 + 3 songs.
Dylan plays some great concerts, but the majority is below par. Not only is it up singing again, but even worse is his keyboard, now in a boring organ mode. Especially when prominent in the mix, you imagine yourself at an American hockey game.

Released of Dylans 32nd studio album, Modern Times. The album is recorded at the Clinton Studios in New York City, NY. Most songs are played live in the fall tour.
As Disc Jockey with a great sense of humour and an infinite knowledge of music history Dylan starts his own program Them Time Radio Hour on the Deep Tracks channel of XM Satellite Radio. Dylan tapes his programs at various locations while touring.
