| First year as a 'professional' musician. Dylan arrives hitchhiking in freezing cold New York City in january and has no permanent place to stay. Thanks to Dave van Ronk he starts to accompany folksingers on harmonica and gets his own gigs at cafe's and coffeehouses. Dylan meets Woody Guthrie, signs a contract with Columbia and records his first LP 'Bob Dylan', with covers, traditional en two own songs, released in march 1962. |
